The BSc Honours Degree in Applied Biotechnology is a four-year, program that provides students with a comprehensive understanding of biotechnology and its applications in solving challenges. Our curriculum integrates molecular biology, microbiology, bioengineering, and bioinformatics with practical training in well-equipped laboratories. The program addresses local needs in Matabeleland, such as improving crop yields, combating antimicrobial resistance, and developing sustainable bio-based solutions for Zimbabwe’s agricultural, medical and industrial sectors.
