Carried out research on carpentry waste in Lupane Local Board. This study advanced a circular economy approach by auditing carpentry waste streams in Lupane Local Board, quantifying volumes, composition, and current disposal practices. Stakeholder surveys and site observations inform reuse pathways, business models, and policy options that enable waste reduction, value recovery, and environmentally sound management across local enterprises sustainably. The participants were Musekiwa Innocent Maruza, Joshua Chibvuma, Chalton Siathumba and Tsitsi Prudence Humanikwa all lecturers from Lupane State University.
Carried research on Resettlement-Induced Dynamics of Land Use and Land Cover Change in the Mutugagore Resettlement Scheme, Mt Darwin District, Zimbabwe. This study examined how resettlement has shaped land use and land cover dynamics in the Mutugagore Resettlement Scheme, Mt Darwin District. It analysed spatial and temporal changes, underlying drivers, and environmental implications, providing evidence to inform sustainable land management and post-resettlement planning strategies. The first research Manuscript is under review with RUDN Journal of Ecology and Life Safety (Russia). We are working on the second Manuscript on underlying drivers, and environmental implications. The participants are Musekiwa Innocent Maruza, Nkosinathi Moyo, Joshua Chibvuma and Tsitsi Prudence Humanikwa.
Carried out research on Climate change induced displacements and planned relocation settlements in Chimanimani district in 2025. The study was funded by Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights.
