Educational Foundations

Our primary aim is to prepare individuals for initial teacher licensure and to help qualified teachers attain degree qualifications. We also provide educational professionals in higher education with a strong foundation in educational theory and teaching skills that are essential for effective lesson and lecture delivery. 

Our goal is to develop independent, innovative, and reflective educators who can responsibly contribute to effective teaching in diverse communities. We encourage our educators to actively engage in the teaching and learning process using interactive methods. To achieve these objectives, our Department is staffed by a dedicated team of professionals and academics who have extensive teaching experience. 

Through the Department of Educational Foundations, LSU is making significant contributions to the development of highly qualified educators that the education system desperately needs.
