Accounting and Finance

The Department of Accounting and Finance has responsibility for disciplines of Accounting and Finance, Banking and Finance, Economics, Hospitality and Tourism and Hotel Catering and Tourism Management.
The academic and professional backgrounds of the faculty in the Department of Accounting and Finance are diverse, as is their expertise in both industry and practice. This provides students with the information and abilities that will ensure they are at the forefront of a business world that is changing quickly, both now and in the future. It also significantly supports the achievement of excellence and relevance in the teaching of
the core disciplines.
The department has strong ties with the public sector, industry, and professional associations in accounting, Finance, hospitality, taxation, and insurance. The Department has strategic alliances with professional boards like CIMA & ACCA where graduates get exemptions when they pursue their professional qualifications.
The Department of Accounting and Finance is responsible for the delivery of two and postgraduate programmes namely; MSc in Accounting and Finance and MSc in Hospitality and Tourism.  Our modules are also core elements on many other, non- Business programmes throughout Lupane State University
The Department offers supervision up to doctorate level in Accounting and Finance and Hospitality and Tourism.
