The Library is inviting the University community to attend a webinar on Systematic Reviews and Evidence Synthesis Training scheduled for Thursday, 03 September 2026 at 14:30hrs. The webinar will be facilitated by Ms Tapiwa Tanhuke, from Chinhoyi University of Technology. · Target participants: Early-career researchers, doctoral candidates, academic staff, students, and experienced researchers. · Purpose: To strengthen research skills in systematic reviews and evidence synthesis. · Training format: The programme will be delivered in sequential sessions. · Attendance: Participants are encouraged to attend all 3 sessions for a complete understanding of the process. 1st Session i. Introduction to Systematic Reviews and Evidence Synthesis – Developing clear research questions using frameworks such as PICO/PICo and SPIDER. ii. Systematic Review Protocol Development – Planning and documenting the review using guidelines such as PRISMA, PROSPERO, and Open Science. 2nd Session i. Literature Search Strategies - Developing effective and well-documented search strategies. ii. Study Screening and Selection - Screening and selecting studies using systematic review tools and PRISMA guidelines. 3rd Session i. Critical Appraisal, Risk of Bias, and Data Extraction - Assessing the quality of studies and extracting relevant data. ii. Evidence Synthesis, Reporting, and Publishing - Combining findings, reporting results, and understanding the publication process.
