The Faculty of Agricultural Sciences is dedicated to contributing to training of manpower in agriculture, natural resource management and advancement of frontiers of knowledge in these areas through research. The main thrust of our teaching and practical training, research and outreach activities is towards improving agricultural productivity, sustainable natural resource management and food security in semi-arid and marginal environments. This is in recognition of the fact that such environments support most of our people who face serious challenges due to climate change and variability. The Faculty is aware that such challenges are not peculiar to Zimbabwe but universal in nature and will therefore continue to partner with others in order to contribute towards combating these challenges.
